Move along. There is nothing to see here.
How can I understand the game better?
Watch the movie Midnight Madness with Micheal J. Fox.
What is a road rally?
The goal of a Road Rally is to travel the correct route at the correct speeds, and arrive at "checkpoints'' precisely on time. You are scored on how closely to the correct time you arrive. A Road Rally is not a race, and no rally will ever require you to drive in a reckless or illegal fashion. Arriving too early at a checkpoint hurts your score, as does arriving too late.

During the puzzle hunt road rally every team must:
1. Obey all local laws, regulations, traffic laws. Participants are solely responsible for their actions and the consequences of those actions during Operation Cyborg.
2. Comply with the directions of Game Control, local authorities and property and/or venue owners and managers.
During the puzzle hunt road rally teams may not:
1. Engage in unsportsmanlike or illegal conduct. Verbal or physical aggression towards the public, local officials, other participants, or Game Control, or acts of vandalism, theft, or harassment may result in disqualification from the race, at the discretion of the Game Control.
2. Game Control reserves the right to disqualify any participant or team for any reason at any time.
In the event of physical injury, sickness, accident or any other incident which may bring into question an individual’s ability to safely complete the race, Game Control may disqualify the team.
If more than one team is present at a physical challenge location at the same time, the teams will complete the challenge in the order in which they arrived. Game control reserves the right to delay a team until the previous team has completed the challenge before allowing the next team to begin.
No registration refunds will be given for any reason.

How do we get around during the game?
Teams use personal vehicles to get around during the game. Typically vans are rented for teams, however, that would mean charging more money to play and we would like to keep this game as affordable as possible.
What about the cost of gas?
Gas is paid for by the entire team. Let's keep this in perspective. I can drive from Upstate, NY (3 hours north of the city), to Washington, DC on one tank of gas. And you won't be driving that kind of distance during this game. But let's say you had to fill up twice. Split this cost between 4-6 people. Not so outrageous, huh? :)
What equipment will I need to bring?
See Tactical Equipment.
*Note this game requires some type of trackable GPS unit (cell phone, stand alone GPS unit, etc.). This game also requires a cell phone capable of receiving text messages. These are both the most essential items you need to play this game. If your cell phone can be tracked via GPS & receive text messages at the same time, then you only need the one cell phone.
