Debriefing
Assembling your team:
It is very important that you, as team captain, carefully pick your team. Choose your agents wisely. You may have a team of 4-6 bionic agents with one elected unit captain. This captain is your unit’s main source of information about the game. *Each team is allowed a “virtual support” team. This virtual team can be anyone, your friends and family at home or some hobo on street.
Try to choose team members who can work through different types of problems and situations. It may also help to have team members with a passion for reading. So don’t bring that friend that hasn’t picked up a book since high school. Your team members have to be people you would like to travel with and whom you can get along well with even when the heat is on. These games can be highly competitive in a fun way, so you have to be sure all of your teams can weather the storms that may arise. I mean, if you are stuck on a clue in the middle of a swamp, will someone on your team wig out? If so, leave em home.
Being Prepared:
We would like to keep this game simple. Most of the things you will need, will be included in the cost of the game with the exception of gas, snacks, and the cost of the speeding ticket you’ll get if you decide to be silly while playing the game.
We do recommend running drills with your team on a regular basis; solving different types of puzzles. This will help tremendously when the game is underway. You need to have at least one agent go through the “Skills Training” on this site or else there will be some clue/puzzles you won’t be able to solve. We recommend that anything that you can’t fit into a backpack, should be left behind.
Make sure your team has all required Tactical Equipment.
*Note this game requires some type of trackable GPS unit (cell phone, stand alone GPS unit, etc.). This game also requires a cell phone capable of receiving text messages. These are both the most essential items you need to play this game. If your cell phone can be tracked via GPS & receive text messages at the same time, then you only need the one cell phone.
Costs & Payments:
The cost to play this game is TBA. All payments need to be complete a month before game time. Once your team captain as submitted the Critical Mission application for your team, we will send them a link to register for the event. Each member has to register separately through our registration form. At that time, you can pay to reserve your spot. This includes:
Team shirts
Game Kit
Lunch & Snacks during the game (please be sure to let us know about any dietary restrictions)
Awards Party
Cost not Included:
1. Gas for vehicles (split costs between your entire team)
2. Breakfast and dinner.
Driving:
This is a game of skill not necessarily speed. The team with the most points is the winner, not the team with the fastest time. You all know how Tampa PD is so don’t act up or you might find yourself at Orient Road and maybe even on an episode of Inside American Jails on TruTV looking a hot ghetto mess.
Safety:
We will take great care in making this game as safe as possible. Stick to the speed limit and be careful where and how you drive.
Uniforms:
Due to the nature of this mission, the following uniforms are required for the length of the mission: *Not being in uniform disqualifies your team.
Dark Blue O.S.I. T-shirts (provided), Khaki/tan shorts or pants
Comfortable shoes, sneakers or sandals
Sunglasses (optional)
Starting Point:
All teams must arrive for a debriefing in matching uniforms 45 minutes before game time. Agents will check in and the game begins.
Basic Rules:
1. No drinking and driving – Anyone drunk while the game is on, will be eliminated from the game and we’ll probably beat you unmercifully and leave you in a dark alley.
We are not interested in the rowdy gamer who is always drunk and acting out of pocket. We will have a ton of fun, party, and have a good time, but we will do it responsibly.
2. Don’t bring that angry friend who wants to beat everyone who looks at them funny.
3. Don’t bring “Mr or Ms Dark Cloud” who’s life depends on raining on everyone’s parade.
4. Do not get bent out of shape if you don’t win or if someone else is ahead.
5. Don’t use looking for clues as an excuse to do illegal, dangerous or culturally disrespectful things.
6. All team members must be willing, enthusiastic participants.
7. Each team must fit into one vehicle and bring all required Game equipment listed for each game.
8. Any team members who can not swim well are not allowed in any body of water on the Game course.
9. Anyone with heart problems, pregnancies, high blood-pressure, or any other life threatening condition can not participate.
10. We repeat, NO getting bent out of shape, it’s just a game!
11. No one under 18 is allowed to play. This means no kids.
12. No cheating of any kind. This means do not ask anyone on Game Control about the game. This also means you can’t tell other teams about puzzles you’ve already solved or locations you’ve already been to. Let’s keep this fun for everyone.
